Vehicle Sales, Payment Terms & Shipping Instructions
At Britannia Export Consultants Ltd, we aim to make your vehicle export experience clear, safe, and professional. With many years of experience exporting trucks, machinery and vehicles worldwide, we provide transparent sales conditions and reliable shipping arrangements. Please read the following terms carefully before placing an order.
⚖️ Sales Terms & Conditions
Vehicles are sold as-is, without warranty or guarantee, unless explicitly stated on the invoice.
Britannia Export Consultants Ltd accepts no responsibility for hidden or unknown defects unless otherwise agreed in writing.
All vehicles remain the property of Britannia Export Consultants Ltd until full payment is received.
Vehicles must be paid in full before delivery or shipping can take place.
🏷️ Payment Terms
We accept payments by bank transfer or cash in British Pounds (GBP), Euros (EUR), or US Dollars (USD).
If full payment is not received within 30 days of the invoice date:
A storage fee of £20 / €20 / $20 per day applies.
A 1% monthly interest charge will be applied to overdue balances.
🚢 Shipping Terms (Ex Works – EXW)
We operate under Ex Works (EXW) shipping terms unless otherwise agreed.
- Under EXW:
- The buyer is responsible for arranging transport and collecting the vehicle from our business location.
- The risk and cost of transport transfer to the buyer once the vehicle is made available for collection.
- The seller is not required to load the vehicle onto the buyer’s transport.

📦 How to Place an Order
1. Select a Vehicle
Browse our stock and choose the truck, van, or tractor you wish to purchase.
2. Contact Us
Email or call us with:
- The vehicle you're interested in
- The destination country
- Your preferred port of delivery (e.g., Lagos, Tema, Mombasa)
3. Receive Final Quote
We will confirm:
- The total landed cost (vehicle + all Portuguese export charges)
- The shipping cost details
4. Receive Pro Forma Invoice
If you agree to the quote, we will send a Pro Forma Invoice including our banking details for payment.
5. Payment & Vehicle Hold
We will hold the vehicle for three working days while waiting for your bank transfer to arrive.
Buyer Information FAQ – Export Vehicles, Shipping, Payments & Documents
What payment methods do you accept for export orders?
For export orders, payment is normally made by bank transfer. Full cleared payment must be received before trucks, tractor units, trailers, vans, machinery, diesel engines, parts or equipment are released for collection, port delivery or shipping.
Can I inspect the truck, vehicle or machinery before buying?
Yes. Buyers are welcome to inspect available stock by appointment. If you are overseas and cannot inspect in person, we can usually provide additional photos, videos and details to help you assess the vehicle, machinery or equipment before purchase.
Do you sell left-hand-drive vehicles for export?
Yes. Britannia Export Consultants Ltd specialises in used left-hand-drive trucks, tractor units, semi-trailers, vans, machinery, farm tractors, diesel engines and equipment for export worldwide.
Can you arrange shipping from Europe?
Yes. We arrange international shipping from Europe for trucks, tractor units, trailers, vans, cars, buses, minibuses, farm tractors, machinery, engines and spare parts to Africa, the Middle East, South America and other worldwide destinations.
Can you assist with export documents?
Yes. We can assist with export documentation, shipping arrangements and port delivery support depending on the cargo, destination and shipping route. Document requirements vary by country and buyers should always confirm destination import requirements before shipment.
What export documents may be required?
Depending on the cargo and destination country, typical documents may include:
- commercial invoice
- buyer / consignee details
- vehicle registration or ownership documents where applicable
- export customs documents
- bill of lading
- cargo tracking note, CTN, BSC, ECTN or other destination-specific documents where required
How long does shipping from Europe usually take?
Shipping time depends on the type of cargo, departure port, destination port, vessel schedule and shipping method. RoRo and container shipping transit times vary depending on route, vessel availability and shipping space.
Can you deliver the truck or machinery to port?
Yes. We can assist with port delivery, loading arrangements and export handling services depending on the order and shipping requirements.
Do you offer export support apart from shipping?
Yes. We also offer practical export support including stacking vehicles, loading vans onto trucks, strapping, welding and delivery depending on the cargo and export order.
Can I buy machinery, farm tractors, engines or parts as well as trucks?
Yes. In addition to trucks and tractor units, we also supply machinery, farm tractors, diesel engines, parts, trailers, vans and other export-ready equipment depending on availability.
Can you ship trucks and machinery to Africa?
Yes. We regularly assist buyers shipping to destinations in West Africa, East Africa and other African markets, as well as the Middle East, South America and other international destinations.
How do I place an export order?
Once you have chosen the truck, tractor unit, trailer, machinery, part or equipment you want, contact us to confirm availability, price, shipping options and destination details. We will then guide you through the next steps for export, payment and shipping arrangements.
